Win With Winslow

Biography

Tom Winslow was born and raised in the Carolina's. Tom went to the University of South Carolina where he earned his bachelor’s degree, before attending Loyola Law School and obtaining his Juris Doctorate. Tom began to work when he was 14 years old as a janitor at the middle school he attended in Columbia, SC. He remembers staying after class every day of the week to mop and vacuum the floors he witnessed his classmates dirty. He learned two things from that experience: first, that unless you are invested in the cleanup you do not care how dirty it gets and second, that role models, including both teachers and parents, are crucial to a person’s development.

Tom’s parents raised him to be a young man through hard work and discipline. Both of his parents worked hard to provide Tom with a strong foundation in both academics and work ethic. Those qualities helped Tom get through high school, college, and law school while working upwards of three jobs at one time while still attending school.

In High School, Tom meet his wife Lauren. They were best friends who never dated until his last semester of law school. They married in 2006 and moved to Georgetown, SC. Lauren is the parish administrator at Prince George Episcopal Church where they worship the Lord. Tom is an attorney for the Graham Law Firm providing justice as instructed by our founding fathers in the 7th amendment.

Tom has received numerous certificates and awards for his professional achievements through the years, including being recognized as Georgetown County Young Professional of the Year in 2009, along with the Waccamaw Region Young Professional of the Year in 2010. He was invited to participate in the Georgetown Leadership Program and the State Bar Leadership Program of which he is a graduate of.

Tom has constantly held a job since he was 14 years old and during that time he has also served our community through many charitable and civic organizations including Habitat for Humanity, St. Francis Animal Shelter, Georgetown YMCA, Service over Self, Prince George Youth Group, the Patriots Club, Toys for Tots, the friends of the library board, along with teaching at HGTC part-time.

Protecting your Rights is his top priority. He will continue to fight for this area and represent the people. He will use his experience and creativity to develop opportunities for the character of all men to shine through.

This is Tom’s home. He resides in Georgetown where he remains involved in various community activities. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, exercising, and spending time with his family and friends. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, for 6 years and has one fat cat, Molly (16 lbs.)
